3 Things You Have to Check out at Russian River

Play in the River – Country Tire in Guerneville hire tubes out for $22.50. You can spend the whole day tubing on the river. Be sure to pack a picnic so you don’t have to dry off and go to far when you get hungry.

Biking – If you love to bike, Russian River is a perfect place to do it. The Westside Road ride runs from River Road at Hacienda Bridge to Healdsburg. This is a two lane country road with rolling hills. You will ride through vineyards, redwoods, wineries and the Russian River.

Ballooning – If you are looking to spend a little more money on your road trip, Hot Air Ballooning is a must do in Russian River. Both Wine Country Balloons and Up & Away Ballooning provide balloon trips over the Russian River area.

Campsites at Russian River

If you are looking to spend a few nights away without spending hours in the car to get there, these campsites are a great place to stay.

  • Camp Outback – Great for tent camping, Camp Outback is an easy walk to the river. WiFi is available and because only tents are allowed this campsite tends to be quieter than others.
  • Alexander Valley RV Park & Campground – Adjacent to the river this campground offers picnic tables, a convenient store, fishing and canoeing access, tent sites and RV sites.
  • Duncan’s Mills Camping Ground – This is a private RV camping club, offering hiking, biking, kayaking, a gym, entertainment center and easy access to the Russian River. You can try the private campground out with their 3-night special.
